This event is dedicated to our vision: To enable all Michiganders with disabilities to live to the best of their abilities and ambitions.
It began with a group of close friends who have played hockey together for the last 25 years. When a member of that hockey family had a child diagnosed with cerebral palsy, they sprung into action.
In order to raise awareness and to educate people about cerebral palsy, two of those long-time hockey friends, Jason Trzcinski and Matt Brown, approached MI-UCP (Michigan United Cerebral Palsy) about co-hosting an annual golf outing.
In 2012, the MI-UCP Annual Golf Outing was established and is now in its 13th year with over $200,000 raised. Last year, golfers played 18 holes at The Majestic at Waldon Lake and raised over $28,000.
The next MI-UCP Driving to Close the Disability Divide Golf Outing will take place on Friday June 14, 2024. The event will celebrate our 75th year of serving the 2.3 million Michiganders who live with a disability.
