ELIGIBILITY.  FOR THIS EVENT ONLY – you do not have to be a WWGA member to participate, but you must have a Class A Woods Membership. 

RETURNING WWGA MEMBERS: please remember to pay your annual dues in advance of this event.

REGISTRATION FEE.  $15.00  (Payable on day of tournament)

FORMAT.  This is a 4-person team "Step Aside" scramble.

Each player hits a tee shot. The team then determines which ball location they would like to play and then each player may place her ball and hit from within a club length of the ball selected (6 inches on the green), no nearer the hole and with no improvement of condition.  the person hitting the best shot selected by the team must “step aside” for the next shot leaving their 3 teammates to make the next best shot, this is repeated for every shot until the ball is holed out. Also, each player will receive one mulligan for the round.

TEAMS.  Teams with A, B, C and D players will be selected by the pro shop to equalize handicaps.  Any threesomes will consist of a B, C, and D player.  If noted on signup sheet, a WWGA member may request to play with one non-WWGA member or vice versa.

HANDICAP:   There will be a handicap adjustment to each team’s score by The Woods Golf Pro. The result becomes the team’s handicap and is subtracted from the team’s gross score. Individual handicap is capped at  the USGA maximum of 53.

SCORING. The team with the lowest net score wins. Enter gross scores on card. Ties will be determined based on the USGA tie breaker (back 9,6,3,1)

PRIZES.  For winning teams, gift cards amounts will be determined based on participation.  There will be optional $5 for closest to the pin on the par 3 holes (3, 9, 11, and 13) - only first ball hit counts, and an optional $5 ticket for a 50/50 drawing or 3 tickets for $10

TIE BREAK.  If there is a tie, the lowest net score on the back 9 will determine the winners.  If still a tie, the lowest net score on the last 6 holes will be used, then the last 3 holes, then the 18^th hole, then each previous hole until the tie is broken. 

 DROP AREAS. Drop areas may not be used in this format. 

HANDICAP COMPUTER (GHIN). Scores are NOT entered into the Handicap Computer.
