2023 WOMEN'S STONY LICK CHAMPIONSHIP

2023 WOMEN'S STONY LICK CHAMPIONSHIP

18-HOLE and 9-HOLE Events

ELIGIBILITY:  Each player must be a member of the WWGA for the 2023 season and have a USGA established handicap index.

HANDICAP:   Players will receive 95% of their course handicap. The maximum individual course handicap allowance for the 18-Hole Championship is capped at 28, but all WWGA players may enter this event. Only players with a course handicap of 29 or higher are eligible to enter the 9-Hole event.

SCORING: Each player records the GROSS scores for a fellow competitor in the group.  If there is a disagreement or uncertainty about a rule, play a provisional ball in addition to the original ball and ask for a ruling from The Woods Pro when you return to the club house.

PRIZES: Flights will be organized by handicap, as participation warrants.  All participants in the 18-Hole event are in contention for The Women's Stony Lick Championship.  The Women's Stony Lick Champion will be the player with the lowest GROSS score in the 18-Hole Event.  Trophies are awarded for the Women's Stony Lick Champion and the Low Gross for the 9-Hole Event.  There will also be gift card prizes for the low gross and low net for each flight.  A player may only receive one place award, e.g., one cannot win low gross AND low net.  There will be an optional $5 closest to the pin for holes 2, 6, 11 & 16 and $5 for a 50/50 drawing (up to 2 tickets may be purchased).

Tournament entry fee is the usual $10 per person.

TIE BREAK:  If there is a tie for LOW GROSS, for the Championship, there will be a sudden death playoff.  For the other ties, the lowest score on the back 9 will determine the winner.  If still a tie, the lowest score on the last 6 will be used, then the last 3, then the 18th hole, then each previous hole until the tie is broken.

DROP AREAS:  Drop areas may NOT be used.

ENTERING SCORE INTO THE HANDICAP COMPUTER: Players are responsible for entering their scores into the handicap system.
